(Long Beach) Dr. Eduardo Lara’s campaign to represent the City of Long Beach District Two received a jolt of momentum, capturing SEIU Local 721’s endorsement.

“Long Beach seniors and families deserve affordable housing and good-paying local jobs.” stated Dr. Lara. “I am thrilled to stand along SEIU Local 721 to be a voice for workers in our community.”

This endorsement adds to Dr. Lara’s growing grassroots strength after landing endorsements from the California Faculty Association Long Beach Chapter, Our Revolution Long Beach Chapter, and Yes We Can Democratic Club.

Dr. Eduardo Lara is a professor and faculty union member at Cal State Long Beach. He is running to be our Long Beach City Councilmember to retain and attract local good-paying jobs, keep our homes affordable, and our streets safe and clean. Dr. Lara holds bachelor and master’s degrees from George Washington University; his Ph.D. in Education is from UCLA.
