(Long Beach) Dr. Eduardo Lara’s campaign to represent the City of Long Beach District Two received a seismic endorsement, earning the endorsement of the California Nurses Association.
“We need to make our neighborhoods affordable so people that work in Long Beach can live in Long Beach.” stated Dr. Lara. “I am thrilled to stand with the California Nurses Association and fight for our worker families.”

The California Nurses Association is a premiere organization of registered nurses and one of the nation’s fastest growing labor and professional organizations in the U.S. with more than 100,000 members in hospitals, clinics and home health agencies in all 50 states. In the past 15 years, CNA/NNOC has grown by nearly 400 percent.
This endorsement adds to Dr. Lara’s growing grassroots strength after landing endorsements from the California Faculty Association Long Beach Chapter, SEIU Local 721, Councilwoman Jeannine Pearce, Councilmember Roberto Uranga, Our Revolution Long Beach Chapter, and Yes We Can Democratic Club.
Dr. Eduardo Lara is a professor and faculty union member at Cal State Long Beach. He is running to be our Long Beach City Councilmember to retain and attract local good-paying jobs, keep our homes affordable, and our streets safe and clean. Dr. Lara holds bachelor and master’s degrees from George Washington University; his Ph.D. in Education is from UCLA.
